Weekend Recaps are…well…just that. In case your week was a hectic one, here’s your chance to peruse what you may have missed. And it is also a chance for you to revisit the conversation(s). And what a week it has been!
It was definitely an unconventional week. I warned you of a hybridized editorial calendar, but things went even further away from the drafting board than I had anticipated.
We started out the week on a high note. Gerry Wilson of The Writerly Life guest posted a memoir about her grandmother’s impact on her writing.
I learned how to reblog this week. Had to try it to see if it worked and then again because Karen of Karen In Honolulu takes much better photos than I do. And if you look closely, you can see me behind the woman in the purple mu’umu’u at the banquet tables.
This week’s MNINB Blogroll highlighted 9 rather than 6 poets. An extra thick edition, you might say. Plenty of poetic inspiration and tons of fun and whimsy. Check ‘em out!
Wednesday celebrated Writing Space’s month month of blog postings. Wednesday also had us back to normal with a look at another of my Writer’s Nooks.
But Thursday, I went bold! I started a new blog. It is an aggregate venture. Just as the MNINB Blogroll grew out of my struggling to juggle the boon of awards Writing Space had been bestowed, this new blog springs from my Fantasia moment trying to carry all of the water buckets for a growing number of MNINB blog-sites.
Kudos!
This week we celebrated our first month of blogging at Writing Space! Thank you so much. Who knew we could do so much in 30 days? Here’s to the next. Thank you as always for your participation. That has made all the difference.
Up and Coming
This week is getting back into our groove. I’ll be sticking close to my usual routine for this week ahead. One variation will be the next installment in the MNINB Annotated Blogroll Series. Next up for the spotlight are our Freelancers and Non-Fiction Aficionados.
In case you missed the first go-round. Here’s the weekly recap:
Memoir Mondays: Special Guest Post By Gerry Wilson
Tourist Tuesdays: Lara Learns to Reblog
Special Addition
Highlighted Authors: Margo Roby, Jennifer Saunders, De Miller Jackson, Sara Vinas, Janice Extrom Sheridan, Kris Swanguarin, Sophhey Vance, Meena Rose Muro, and Claudette Young
Special Addition
Writer’s Craft Wednesdays
But the biggest news of all this week is the new blog. #MNINB April Platform Challengers. We are done but not over. I will still continue on in my MNINB Blogroll series. My postings should occur at least once a week until I’ve made my way through all of the Not Bobbers. In the meanwhile, you can now visit the sites, listen in to our TweetChats, and much, much more. The site is under construction, but there is plenty of value to had there already.
Out of this week’s potpourri, what was your favorite treat? Since we are celebrating our anniversary, tell us what you’d like to see in the month ahead. Give some feedback on the new site. What is your favorite thing/least favorite thing about the new blog in town?

Is that cupcake green? Lol.
Green Tea Cupcake…amazingly delicious!
Lara, you are amazing! Congratulations on your 1 month blog-iversary & on starting a new blog! I am honored to be a part of the new MNINB venture! I can’t wait to see what you do next!
I can’t wait to see what YOU do next!
Lara, Thanks for your invite to be an author on the new MNINB blog! I would love to contribute as I can. I’m new to all of this, but ready to learn. Now, if I can find time during summer vacation with four kids home… I now have a word press account, but when I hit the “accept invitation” button, it said the link had been used. How should I proceed? Ahola!
I meant Aloha! I really need to go to bed.
Just checked it, Julia. It went through, so you’re in. Welcome aboard. I’m at least 6 hours different from most of you all.
Much Aloha,
Lara
Let me see if I can tweak that from this end.
